I decided to do Royal's Pizzeria because on the weekends when I go out I stop by here a lot. I spent about an hour at the pizzeria and it was tremendously packed on a Friday around 12 am. I will say that every weekend is pretty much like that and I really hate that, but every pizzeria such as Naps and Belzanos are always like that and sometimes worst it really just depend on what time or day you come. I choose to go to Royal's because you will see a lot of crazy things like drunk people dancing acting a fool and some even start dancing in the table it's crazy, but pretty funny. You will see on the weekends people sitting down on the tables in large groups and also really dressed up. I also decided to go on a weekday to collect differences so I also walked down there this past Wednesday around 6 pm. It's a real big difference you see people (mostly students) in sweat pants or with book bags. You don't see that many groups come in, it's mainly like pairs of two and many take their food to go. I also noticed that there's less people working at the pizzeria on weekdays that on the weekends.
What does the data you collect suggest to you about the literacy practices of that community? I noticed that one of the guys that work there have conversations with many of there customers especially on the weekends and I also noticed how students will be texting their life away on a weekday, but on the weekends they are so drunk to even be worried about their phone. Students are having conversations face to face on the weekends and maybe because mostly of all their friends are with them so there's really no use to be on the phone.
